We are growing our software research and development group in Sweden and are looking to add an experienced JavaScript Developer to the team.. In your role as a JavaScript Developer with Ephox you will be working with Open Source software used by millions of people on a daily basis. The software you will primarily be working on is TinyMCE, an open source library for HTML WYSIWYG editing.

In your role as a JavaScript Developer with Ephox your primary responsibilities will be:
•Develop user facing features
•Develop reusable libraries for internal and Open Source usage
•Implementing complex UI/UX design
•Optimizing software for speed and scalability
•Collaborating with other members of the team and the organization

You will be joining our group in Umeå, where you will become a part of a highly dedicated team working together across three continents to develop, produce and improve the software and building a strong company. In your role here in Umeå you will also have the opportunity to be exposed to other on-going projects within Ephox.

Utbildning/erfarenhet

As a TinyMCE JavaScript Developer with Ephox you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
• An exceptional understanding of JavaScript, its' quirks and limitations.
•Knowledge and experience of HTML5 and CSS3
•Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility, eventual reiterative problems and solutions
•Be able to demonstrate programming skills and understanding of Web Development concepts
•Good knowledge of GIT and/or Bitbucket
•Familiar with browser rendering behaviour and performance
•Be able to follow strict coding standards to ensure high quality of code.

As most of Ephox's clients are based abroad it is essential that you are fluent in both oral and written English. To be successful in this role you will be required to be open, easy-going and a driven person with an analytical mind. You will work together with your co-workers to achieve the best possible result as well as manage your own projects.

It is not necessary, but will be a bonus if you possess basic UI/UX knowledge, prior experience working and developing Open Source software, working in SCRUM teams and familiar with tools such as Jenkins, nodejs, npm and grunt.
