About Group IT

Group IT is located in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. We are 1400 employees responsible for running the bank, developing and maintening business strategic and central systems in Swedbank.

All development is managed in projects and we deliver approximately 600 projects and pre-studies during a business year.

Assignment specification

Infrastructure Development is an infrastructure service oriented sub-unit in Infrastructure & Operations division in Group IT. Primary objective of the Infrastructure Development sub-unit is to deliver Core Infrastructure services in a flexible, cost-effective, and high-quality manner.

Networks are the backbone of a modern business environment. They connect internal employees to business applications as well as partners and customers to network enabled services. Our main goal is to manage the network availability and continuity to make sure it is capable of passing all necessary traffic under any condition and that the information is available to all those who are authorized to access it. But also to control the traffic accessing the network and flowing across the network by making sure it is secure, it is valid, it is known and it is not violating any of the rules defined on company’s Security Directives.

As a Senior Network Security Engineer you will become part of an international team of professionals and work with network architecture, designing new solutions with focus on security issues, optimizing existing systems/platforms and participate in infrastructure projects. Our solutions are often complex with focus on stability and based on leading edge technology to enable a cost efficient, secure, automated and agile infrastructure. We would like you to take the lead in defining the scope and targets of Swedbanks network security platform. You will produce architectural documents, be responsible for transformation activities and roadmaps within network security area.The position is based in Stockholm.

Our expectations of you

University Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics or other sciences and/or previous relevant working experience within IT sector Extensive knowledge of network and application protocols, security technologies and various operating systems such as Windows and Unix Deep knowledge of threat vectors in the internet and tools like Metasploit or Nessus Script writing skills (e.g. shell, perl, awk, ruby, python etc) Experience in automation of network services and experience in supporting service based monitoring in an enterprise environment Good communication skills and good spoken and written English language skills Ability to successfully collaborate with co-workers cross-border and cross-departments is a success factor for this role
Experience with and knowledge of :

Knowledge of the Splunk, ELK Stack or Graylog, search techniques, alerts, dashboards and report building Deep working knowledge and experience of Firewalls (Checkpoint, Fortinet, Juniper, etc…) Routing/switching – Cisco (Catalyst and Nexus) Proxy/Mail filter – Bluecoat and Ironport IDS / IPS – McAfee, Fortinet, etc… ADC – F5
