RF Systems Engineer

The Role: RF Systems Design Engineer ?This is a great opportunity for a recently graduated engineer who is looking into a career in wireless communications. The RF Systems Design Engineer will be a core individual contributor to the verification, system integration and productization of the wireless connectivity IP's of Ensigma Communications. Background: The Ensigma RPU core is a software configurable hardware IP core along with along with a scalable hard macro for RF and analog subsystems. The core consists of a number of proprietary heterogeneous processing engines along with custom hardware acceleration, capable of performing Layer 1 and 2 processing for both broadcast and connectivity standards. In the connectivity space this currently includes 802.11 b/g/n/ac up to 4x4 MIMO and Bluetooth 3.0. The role is to verify the performance of radio connectivity transceivers Opportunity: Working as a part of a team, your role will cover some or all of the following responsibilities: Develop and validate algorithms associated with aspects such as co-existence, throughput, calibrations Develop system models and evaluate system performance Suggest and validate architectural improvements Develop and validate algorithms for Built in Self Tests Assist internal teams and customers with system integration Manage requirements both external (Datasheets) and internal (Design Specifications) Working Environment: The position involves taking a key role within a small development team, interacting with other groups such as system, development and hardware teams.

Desirable Skills: Signal processing Matlab/Simulink C/C++ programming RF system design Knowledge about common lab equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers Knowledge about connectivity standards such as 802.11, Bluetooth, Zigbee Personal Attributes: Self-starter - able to work both alone and as part of a team Strong problem solving ability Friendly - outgoing personality, gets on with all types of people, positive attitude Dedicated - willingness to work from time to time over extended hours in order to achieve goals set by immediate manager or demanded by business A passion for excellence and attention to detail Have a helicopter view on technical solution
