System tester

Today we are searching for a new consultant for the position as a System tester for safety critical systems. The work will take place in the customers facilities in Stockholm.

Job description:
You will work in the ETCS OB System as system test engineer.

Following major objectives are expected by the consultant:
- Be able to understand how SW and HW interact, and how it works together. Be logical and have knowledge of tracing faults to its source (HW or/and SW).
- Have experience in executing test cases, both in a PC environment, at target system level and during field test.
- Have experience in transferring requirement into executable test cases and also transfer these into test scripts.
- Be able to evaluate outcome of an executed test case, and then, if needed report deviations from expected system behavior.
- Be able to document results of executed test cases.
- Be responsible for documents like Test Specification, Test Environment Specification, and Test Record.
- Committed, engaged with the ability to prioritize and take ownership of tasks.

Required competence (need to have):
- M.Sc. SW Engineering/Computer Science or equal education
- More than 2 years? experience of test in complex SW-projects
- Documentation (be able to write reports and plans within project, be good at handle correspondence though mails)
- Test knowledge (have good experience of different test stages within a development project, general (test-) process knowledge, how different test methods can be applied for different situations, be able to see the system
- Technical skills (tech. education, easy to understand SW and HW and be able to understand the interconnection and how SW and HW work
- Programming skills (have experience of some programming language like C, C++, C# or Tcl/Tk)
- Good analytical skills
- Candidates must be good team players with attention to detail, self-disciplined, able to manage their own time and workload, proactive and motivated.
- Candidates with a driving personality and natural curiosity, actively searching new information, are ideal for this role.
- Candidates shall also have good written and verbal communication skills in Swedish & English.

Wanted competence (good to have):
- Experience of ERTMS and other safety-critical systems is highly valued.

Duration: 2015-03-27 with possibility for further extension.
