Platform Developer

We are looking for an experienced technologist/developer with a strong systems background, a drive to innovate, and the proven ability to deliver products to market.

As a Platform Developer at Procera Networks AB, you will work both independently and collaboratively with a strong team that develops our hardened network appliance OS and system services that are at the heart of all of our core products. Our ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of networking, the ability to creatively innovate, an eagerness to take on responsibility and learn new skills and have a passion for developing world-class software. Required qualifications.

An insatiable desire to learn
Accomplished Linux sys admin skills
Experience building a hardened Linux based network appliance
Networking and security knowledge and experience
Strong bash and python development experience
Hungry to be with a passionate team driven to create success.
Strong knowledge of modern x86 technology. The candidate must be well-versed in x86 terminology and have a good understanding of BIOS, BMC, IPMI, SNMP, server architecture, server management
Basic database/SQL skills
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience

Preferred additional knowledge/background.

Familiarity with customizing Linux installers and package management systems (e.g. rpm, dpkg)
Experience with git and/or other distributed SCMs
Experience with developing and maintaining continuous integration systems (Buildbot, Hudson/Jenkins)
Experience with NETCONF and/or Tail-F?s ConfD
Experience with one or more of virtualization technologies, such as KVM, VMware, XEN, OpenStack.
At least 6-8 years experience in relevant field
