H&M is looking for Senior Java Developers

Are you a driven, analytical developer feeling passionate about Java development? Then you might be one of the senior developers we are looking for to our Logistics division and the Trade & Transport team!

We can offer an exciting and varied job within a growing area and team that believes in people and works as one team. As a developer you will be responsible for coding new and changed functionalities in some of the most core system at H&M with many dependencies and users. In your role you need to communicate with internal and external stakeholders from IT and Business, and with our external partners.

Join our great team consisting of 25 people, working with design, requirement, development and test. We are a highly skilled team who value each individual performance as well as teamwork.
You will work with three systems. The main system supports the shipping process from the origin countries to the H&M warehouses. The other systems support the import process of goods to the H&M sales countries and freight costs calculations.

H&M is an exciting place for an IT career! We open up at least one new store every weekday somewhere around the globe at the same time as we're expanding online. This requires a lot from our IT-solutions with fun challenges along the way!

Your responsibilities
The job of a senior developer at H&M comes with a lot of responsibility - and lots of fun. Your to do-list includes:

- Java coding in three systems
- Writing unit tests
- Writing SQL for generating various reports requested by mainly architects and the business
- Using requirements documents as base for developing new and changed functionality
- Participating in the typical scrum meetings, for instance daily scrum, planning and retrospective
- Identifying and giving suggestions on improvements in the systems
- Contributing to the development of the entire team

You are pedagogical and a fastlearner when it comes to understanding requirements from business and translate/implement them into solutions in the systems. You enjoy working in team, but are also able to work independently within the framework.

And your skills include:

- At least 5 years of experience of working with Java
- Proficient in java 8, Spring boot, Spring 4 (Batch, Security, MVC, AOP), Hibernate 4+, JPA 2.1
- SQLServer, Liquibase
- Microservices architecture , Rest services
- Web development with jQuery, angularJs, HTML5 and CSS
- Maven, IntelliJ, Eclipse or similar, jUnit, EasyMock, Spring Test and GIT/SVN
- JSP, JSTL, HTML, XML, Json
- Architecture and design competence
- An understanding of ordinary design patterns and best practices
- Good at expressing yourself verbally and in writing in English

If you also have experience from any of the following areas it is an added advantage: Jira, Scrum experience, Apache-Tomcat and Jenkins, Websphere MQ, Oracle, OpenVMS, Supply chain/Logistics, global systems and optimize performance for system and working in distributed teams.
