The product development within Kongsberg Automotive (KA) is subject to global competition, with high demands on our performance. We are responsible for Hardware, Software and HW/SW Test within the product development. Our task is to deliver those abilities to all product areas within KA. We are expanding and are now searching for a Software Development Manager to join the electronics Center of Excellence team in Mullsjö. The team you are joining consists of about 20 competent and enthusiastic engineers.
As a Software Development Manager you will be a key player in transforming Kongsberg Automotive to the futures demands of software development in the automotive industry. Self-driving cars, electrification and continuous integration are three areas that have an impact on our business currently and in the future. The road map for our products are being developed together with the different business areas and our objective is to be in the frontline of our product range. The product range is Shift-By-Wire systems, power electronics systems, seat comfort systems and seat climate systems and you will be working towards all major car- and truck brands. You will report to the Director for electronics Center Of Excellence and be part of a team located in Sweden, China and Canada/US. Your responsibility will be SW for European OEMs mainly.
We believe that you have a M.Sc. or a B.Sc. in Engineering, preferably with software focus. You have most likely worked as a Software Manager or Project Manager before, in projects with high complexity. Knowledge of industrial products with both software and hardware development are also a good fit for this role. Know-how in Agile development methods (such as Scrum) and embedded SW development will beneficial for you. Experience from Autosar, Diagnostics (OBD-II, UDS), ISO26262, Automotive Spice are valued but not a requirement. As a leader, you drive continuous improvements and take responsibility for the development of your personnel. Coaching and an active leadership style are natural elements in this role and comes natural for you. Good communication skills in both spoken and written English are required. Language skills in Swedish are preferred but not a requirement.
