Telematics SW Verification Engineer

The On-board Telematics unit in Gothenburg is looking for a Telematics Software (SW) Verification Engineer to our Telematics products.

The On-board Telematics organization is established to secure connected vehicles supporting the increasing demand for soft products. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services such as driver assistance and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs, increased customer value as well as increased revenues. We have colleagues in Greensboro-USA, Ageo-Japan, Bangalore-India and Lyon-France. The total staff is 105 people whereof 80 are located in Göteborg.

Profile:
We now need to strengthen our verification team with an experienced SW Verification Engineer. We want you who have several years of work experience of software test and verification and now want new challenges. You shall also have experience in On-Board Telematics. We are a great test team which work creatively with exploratory testing but at the same time structured in the frames of session based test management.

You will be a part of our team of testers with a test manager, but will independently design, perform and evaluate your test cases with support from the test manager. It is mainly function and regression test and verification of software for embedded real-time systems within the area of telematics.

Our test environment is partly simulated to facilitate early verification. We are continuously working with improvement of our test methods and tools; we have for example come a long way with test automation. It is a merit if you like to work with test environment and hands-on work with test rigs as well.

We are a global team which is growing globally. We have daily contact with our colleagues around the world and especially with Bangalore. It is highly recommended that you have experience or understanding of other cultures (for example India) that will help the organization to build a global team.

Required qualifications:
-Master degree in computer science / electrical engineering or corresponding experience
-Burning interest in software test and verification
-Well spoken and written English
-Tools: CANoe, CANdela, CANalyser, Clearcase, Clearquest, DevTrack
-Languages: C, C++, CAPL

Merits:
-Several years of work experience with embedded software verification
-Preferable is at least 3 years work experience at Volvo Truck in the Electrical organization
-Experience of working in the automotive and/or telecom industry
-Knowledge of embedded systems
-Knowledge of communication protocols
-Interest of hands-on work with test rigs / lab environment
