Arabic mobile designer/applications engineer

Kitab Sawti is Swedish startup based in Stockholm with an office in Cairo. Our goal is to build the Arabic audiobook market and deliver a great moment of entertainment, relaxation and knowledge to our consumers. JOB DESCRIPTION
As a mobile apps designer and/or engineer, you will be responsible for our mobile user experience. You have a passion for software craftsmanship and mobile applications in particular. You know Android or iOS (or both) like the back of your hand and appreciate a great user experience on either platform.
We are working in an agile environment and we expect you understand the concept of Minimum Viable Product and how to build products according to its principles.
You deliver results reliably and without surprises in a team setting as well as individually and you always assume responsibility and comprehend what needs to be done, why and how.

WE WANT YOU TO HAVE
- Design and develop apps for mobile and tablet.
- Define requirements and bring your own ideas to the table.
- Test and do QA on the things you build.
- Ship what you build (to Google Play/App Store).
- Follow up on what you build, fix bugs, analyze usage and respond to customer feedback.
- Excellent skills in English, written and spoken
- Skills in the Arabic language (written and/or spoken)
- Excellent, proven skills in mobile application development (iOS and/or Android)
- Excellent knowledge of OOP principles
- Experience of media player applications
- Experience of testing apps using unit tests and UI tests
- Experience of building a non-trivial mobile app from scratch
- Experience of building mobile apps that integrate with web APIs serving json
- Experience of setting up a CI build environment
- A strong sense for UX

We also expect you to be familiar and confident using tools and techniques such as git, dependency injection, debugging, monitoring & logging, crash reports and more.
