Using existing Scania strengths and combining business with IT, we are creating faster throughput meeting specific needs.

Job description
You are the Data Scientist that will help us reach our goal, through deep data analysis in our data from all the connected trucks, equipment, devices and things.

You will work closely with the marketing, business and development team by fetching and analysing relevant data and will involve working with teams and individuals across Scania in a lean organisation at an excellence level.

Your profile
While we certainly don't expect you to have all of these skills from day one, we love to hear about experiences like:
.Technical competences to perform more advanced analytics: ?Coding skills (such as R, Python, Java, or Scala)
?Analytics tools experience, open source or commercially available libraries and toolsets (such as Pandas, R, SPSS, SQL, Hive)
?Experience performing analysis with large datasets

.Understanding the appropriate statistical or machine learning techniques to use in different circumstances. ?decision trees, probability networks, association rules, clustering, regression, and neural networks

.Familiarity with data modelling on Hadoop clusters, tools in the Hadoop ecosystem, and stream processing.
Ideal candidate is self-motivated and willing to engage in both pure analytical type of duties as well as more hands on operational issues.

Candidate must be: .Organised and analytical
.Adept at working in a team environment
.Ability to tackling very loosely defined problems.
.Able to handle multiple priorities in a fast moving environment
You will need to demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and will have worked in a fast paced and collaborative environment, have a passion for quantitative analysis and will have the ability to draw business insights.

You as a person are a team player who works well independently, responsive and humble, with an ability to drive technological developments based on business needs. .MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
