Senior Fullstack Developer

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer who has an open mindset and a positive attitude, who is a driven problem solver and a great team worker. A person who wants to help us to grow the company with creative ideas and who can bridge the gap between technology and design. You have experience working with both backend as well as front end development.

What would be your role?

As a senior member of the team you will lead one of the development teams and you will manage and work in collaboration with a team of developers, designers and even work closely with the client. To handle this efficiently you will need to have experience in leading teams and have a flexible mindset and adapt according to the client needs. You will create and prioritize each sprint in co-operation with the Product Owners, monitor and follow-up on what your team are working on. You will use Slack to communicate internally and manage tasks and sprint deliveries in JIRA, and of course contribute to our git repositories.

Does this sound like you?

You have +7 years of front and back end development experience of which at least 2 years in a fullstack position
You have reference cases, such as open source contributions
You have strong Javascript and ES6 skills. We mainly use Angular and React in the frontend and NodeJS with Express and PHP in the backend (varies depending on client needs)
You are familiar with build tools like WebPack, Gulp and Grunt
You are experienced with deploying, configuring, monitoring and maintaining applications in cloud environments (Knowledge of AWS services like S3, CloudFront, EC2 and Elastic Beanstalk is a plus)
You have strong network knowledge in web protocols (such as security, RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs)
You have strong knowledge of relational databases, and PostgreSQL in particular (Knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus)
You understand the concepts for test-driven development and is familiar with at least one Javascript testing framework (Mocha, Jest, Jasmine, etc)
You can work your way through UNIX command line and UNIX script files
You are experienced in working with Scrum and tools like Jira and Confluence
You are very comfortable tackling problems in new environments and languages
You have the ability to build and ship high quality code
Experience in other programming languages like Python, Ruby, Java is a plus
