Job profile
The main objectives as an EDI Developer are to develop EDI mappings in our software SAP NetWeaver Process Integration which also includes format mappings for our communication adapters (Seeburger) to meet the desired EDI standards of the customers and suppliers.

Duties of this entry-level position include trading partner configuration and EDI mapping in an SAP/Seeburger environment using various international standards for the automotive industry including X.12, EDIFACT, VDA, Odette, and RND. Periodic rotation through the EDI helpdesk is also required.

Prior EDI experience is a plus, but consideration will be given to persons with no EDI experience if the candidate has strong analytical skills and database and Java programming experience. Internal EDI training will be provided.

The position has a global responsibility that involves some travelling over several days to other Kongsberg Automotive sites. Availability in off hours may be required to resolve EDI message issues (Incidents) or to take part in planned SAP Systems maintenance.

Areas of responsibility/Personal tasks
. Design, create, and test EDI maps using SAP PI and Seeburger.
. Work directly with customers and suppliers to create and maintain trading partnerships with multiple Kongsberg Automotive facilities.
. Participate in an EDI watch rotation, being on-call periodically to support EDI problems
. Monitor EDI transactions daily and resolve any errors.
. Independently analyze root cause of problematic issues, and recommend system and process improvements to eliminate those issues.
. Understand the potential impacts of new development on other programs, systems and applications.
. Translate business requirements into the technical design for system enhancements.
. Understand general SAP business process flows.
. Implement and understand various communication protocols to meet customer requirements.
. Other projects as assigned.

Understand the needs and requirements of the organization and find, develop and support efficient solutions in our SAP Systems environment.
Ensure sufficient quality assurance of implementation of changes in SAP Systems landscape.

Candidate profile
. MSc / BSc degree or similar.
. Technical knowledge in XML and Java
. Working with EDI software and development
. Experience with business systems
. Fluency in spoken and written English.
