Senior Backend Developer - Digital Distribution

Exertis Ztorm is a global digital distribution company focusing on games and software. Our service acts as a hub between publishers and physical/online retailers which makes it easy for retailers to access a large catalog of products and for publishers to minimize their management of retailers. We also provide tools to manage pricing and campaigns, as well as the handling of financial reports, statistics, and distribution security for retailers and publishers.

Publishers now rapidly shift from physical distribution of games and software into digital distribution and Exertis Ztorm is market leader with exclusive Publisher distribution agreements. In 2010 the games industry revenue surpassed the combined revenue of the movie and music industry and it has continued to grow since then. Exertis Ztorm is well positioned for an interesting future.

Exertis Ztorm is owned by the Irish holding company DCC plc and belongs to a group of technology distributor companies known collectively as Exertis. Exertis Ztorm is a small company with 22 employees covering R&D, IT, commercial, support, legal and finance. We have a culture similar to a startup company but with strong financial backing from our owners.

Our R&D team is in the process of modernizing our service where a hybrid cloud Event-driven Microservice architecture (DC/OS, Docker/Kubernetes, SMACK) is highly relevant; we hope you are interested in these technologies.

be part of modernizing, extending, and scaling our service
be involved in the architecture and design and influence a in a dedicated dev team
build and operate infrastructure, toolset and deployment pipelines
work very close to everything involved in the games industry with our skilled coworkers in our office located in Alvik, Stockholm

-We believe you have-
more than five years experience of developing high availability services
deep understanding of system design/architecture, distributed systems, API design, data structures, algorithms, messaging systems, and database models
interest and good knowledge about modern backend design/architecture as well as best practices
good knowledge about Linux development/deployment
experience of Financial Technology
experience of Test Automation
experience with PHP and good knowledge in Java (or Scala)
experience of working in an Agile dev team
a Master´s degree in Computer science or similar
good communications skills in English
