At Soundtrap we put a strong emphasis on design and experiences, we believe that the design profession plays a vital role to create a successful product. Since we are growing rapidly we now have some open positions for Interaction and UX people to join our mission.
As Interaction Designer you will focus on improving our current user experience, as well as exploring new ways of interacting with musical instruments and collaborative experiences.
Our goal is to make Soundtrap stand out - not only in quality of the product but also as the best collaborative audio tool on the market. You will work closely with designers, engineers, researchers and product managers, and take part through the whole design process - from defining a vision to measuring the impact of your designs. You will uncover insights to improve and invent new features, create user flows, design and prototype user interfaces.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Immersed into the Soundtrap product to be able to understand and improve the product quality, from the big picture to the smallest of details
Together with the team develop, design and iterate features to improve engagement and feeling of delight for users
Working closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented
Exploring new ideas and making them tangible through prototyping and visualization
Able to deliver high quality designs and specifications in a timely manner
You have:
Strong ability to communicate the rationale and thought process behind ideas and solutions
Experience working with multiple form factors - web, desktop, mobile apps etc.
Strong sense for solving problems, and generating ideas around complex interactions with visual and audio feedback
Knowledge about audio editing tools
Experience or strong interest in engagement and creative interactions (games, productive tools/apps etc.)
Qualifications:
BA, MA, BS, MS in Design (Interaction, Graphic, Product etc.), Human Computer Interaction, or equivalent
Experience in user interface design processes
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe, Invision, Origami, FramerJS or equivalent
Working proficiency in English
