Cloud Service Developer

Global Services and Operations is responsible for Telia Company’s global commercial excellence and technology leadership. Our 2 300 employees’ job is create new businesses and explore potential revenue streams and long-term investment opportunities for the whole company and for all our customers. We are responsible for our global product portfolio, global business, customer experience and our brand architecture. The unit IT Service Development focuses on development on top of our IaaS cloud platform. Services like ; OS, Database, Middleware and other PaaS (platform as Service).
As a Cloud Service Developer you will secure our future Paas infrastructure and develop services on our IaaS cloud environment at Telia Company.

Your key responsibilities include

Particiating in development of strategic business cases enabling new services and technologies and support new business opportunities Design and propose PaaS solutions Develop PaaS infrastructure services on the IaaS cloud environment Script programming to reach full automatization of the services on our IaaS cloud environment You will work close to the Application Operations and Cloud Development team (IaaS) to secure the end to end design of our services Participate in the IT architecture and drive service development towards the strategic IT/Telco direction Transformation of existing workloads towards cloud service infrastructure Capture and evaluate market driven demands and trends within the PaaS area Participate in making IT Infrastructure Services the partner of choice for Telia Company
Required skills and qualifications
You have good communication, cooperation and coordination skills and you enjoy working in an international environment. You have experience from large scale IT Infrastructure or software development. You need to have strategic view on IT as a whole and how we develop future proof services to support Business needs. Moreover, you must be able to work in a global competence center which supports multi-country planning, market analysis and defines the next generation IT services for IT/Telco. You know how to design, prioritize and execute plans - this to secure competitive IT services across all technologies and superior user experience for future applications. You enjoy working proactively to fully automate our cloud services.

Knowledge and experience

University degree in IT/Engineering or equivalent education Work experience including sysadmin and scripting in Linux environments Are familiar with the VMware software stack
Deep experience of

Red Hat Operating System Linux Bash scripting Python or Perl scripting VMware stack Good English skills, both in writing and orally Large scale IT infrastructure and or software development Solid understanding of the new IT world moving steadily towards Software Defined Data Center
