Sony - Master Research Engineer

Sony Mobile is a leading company in the smartphone and wearable device product business segments. The Research and Incubation department within Sony Mobile Lund is looking for a person with expertise in wireless communications in order to strengthen the research and standardisation efforts.

The person we are looking for would join the Network Technology Lab working on the radio access and telecom related areas with focus on wireless and mobile protocols towards 5G. Network Technology Lab is working in a dynamic and fast moving business environment, which means that we would like you to be flexible and able to work both within the Research and Incubation department and across other organizational units and global sites.

Education
University graduation in electrical, electronic or computer science area corresponding to a Master of Science level is a minimum and PhD level is preferred.

Qualifications & Skills
· Basic competence in the physical and MAC layers of latest LTE-Advanced and Wi-Fi 802.11 features and releases.
· Experience in PHY and MAC simulations with MATLAB, C++ and similar software tools.
· Proven track record in writing technical reports, conference papers and articles is needed.
· Active and regular participation in mobile and wireless standardization bodies is expected.
· Fluent English
