The Lund site is a part of the Application & Software organization (A&SW) at Microsoft working with Windows Phone apps. We have a strong focus on imaging- and camera software for the Lumia smartphone range.

Examples of the applications we develop or contribute to are Camera, PhotoBeamer, Lumia Storyteller and Lumia Refocus.

The level of competence is high and the atmosphere is friendly and open. We have 10+ years' experience from developing and delivering the best imaging software in the industry. To be able to do that, we are dependent on finding talented people to work with.

Now, the testing team is looking for a skilled technical engineer!

Work Tasks & Responsibilities:

You will be working closely with the quality leads and the rest of the team. As a Test Engineer, you will both develop and execute tests for Windows phone and Windows apps, SW components or, in some cases, web sites. The major responsibilities are developing and executing automated functional/non-functional tests.

The work is varied and will span different test environments. There will be opportunities to contribute to setting up automated test routines from scratch. The job could also include guiding others in developing tests.
Depending on your previous experience, the focus of the testing area may vary.
In some periods, there will be a need for manual functional testing.

Qualifications

You are an ambitious person with a professional attitude in the software industry with an interest in quality assurance in particular. You probably have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics or similar.

You have a strong technology interest and experience in programming. Getting familiar with new tools and techniques comes easy to you and you like challenges.
The right person for the position has a good eye for photography and you use your smartphone camera on a regular basis. You appreciate innovative features in your phone or tablet!

Very good English, both spoken and written, is a must as Microsoft is an international company.
