Solution Architect

The Global Operating Center (GOC) is a relatively new function within Sandvik IT and we are responsible for the operation and development of core ITIL processes, advanced monitoring and operational technical support. With high ambitions, we are constantly seeking to increase our knowledge and offer world-class expertise, currently focusing on building a support hub in India. We are now looking for a Solution Architect with genuine interest in the world of IT technology and customer solutions. This position is to be located in Sweden, either Sandviken or Kista, and travel between the locations is required.

Job Summary
As a Solution Architect within the area for advanced monitoring you act as the interface between the business and Global IT, both within Sandvik IT and for external IT suppliers. You understand customer requirements and needs, and transform these into designs. Coordinating several ongoing projects and taking the initiative in finding new solutions are important parts of your work, where you manage system administration and, if necessary, engage in operations. You align designs and implement solutions, as well as provide guidance and feedback, according to the architectural constraints stated in the Sandvik Architecture Framework. Furthermore, you constantly communicate and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders of our global organization.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's in IT or equivalent knowledge gained through experience. You have a solid background with at least five years experience of working within IT. Experience within monitoring solutions as Netcool, SCOM, IBM Tivoli family or equivalent are preferred while knowledge in SQL querying and Linux is considered as an advantage. Experience from project and demand management is important in this position. As we act in a global environment, you have excellent skills in English, both verbally and in writing and knowledge in Swedish is a plus.
