ASSA ABLOY has a global strategy for eBusiness as well as develop and roll out web shops on the common platform, based on IBM WebSphere Commerce. Around this program we need to strengthen the team with an experienced solution architect. Upcoming we will upgrade to version 8 including re-factoring to adapt our solution more to standardized platform functionality, where the goal is cost efficient development and a stable robust platform with its integrations. On top of this we will also perform extensive UI improvements and mobile adaptions to better support the business (B2B) globally. It’s going to be an interesting and developing journey during 2017.

The role

The role as solution architect means understanding the business needs, requirements and acceptance criteria and out of this produce broken down technical solutions and estimates, produced together with the development team. As solution architect you are responsible for continuously improve quality and efficiency within ongoing and future implementation projects. You contribute with expertise both within application usage and processes. The role ease up and secure that the eBusiness implementations follow best practice, both around architecture and functionality. We work with an external development partner, which you will work closely together as well as our internal project managers located globally but close to the divisional business.

Responsibilities within the role include…

• bridging the business requirements and the development team’s implementation

• regardless of development method creating a broken down technical solution

• that technical solutions are well structured and well documented around functionality

• creating estimates for the technical solution and that the development team understands the width of the scope.

• making the e-commerce solution management as user friendly and flexible as possible

• secure that our divisions experience our deliveries as cost efficient and value creating

Your profile

We are looking for you who are passionate about eBusiness and know it at your fingertips. You have a university degree in computer science, technique, information systems or similar and you have worked at least 5 years with this type of solutions within global organizations. You have experience and a good understanding of business processes and functionalities within manufacturing industry where logistic, sales and process mapping is important. We believe you have been working with IBM WebSphere Commerce and hold a good insight around the platform’s standard functionalities and what it has to offer, which you use in your technical solutions and recommendations.

We are looking for a driven team player with great engagement. You have good communication skills and it’s important that you communicate fluent in English both spoken and written.

Approximately 20% of your time might involve international travel.
