What will you do?
You will be part of PTS, a team in the Research & Development department responsible for the software in our production systems. We develop and maintain software that allows Axis to control the production flow and ensures that we consistently and efficiently produce products with excellent quality. This includes production firmware, software for production systems and production test systems, and tools for production follow-up.
The team works closely with Operations, the part of the organisation responsible for producing all Axis products.
As a software engineer you will be developing software for production firmware in both Linux and Windows environments. The role includes all aspects of software development from design, implementation and debugging to test, verification, and documentation. You will have a great influence on the production firmware and Axis’ product quality. The position involves a great deal of variation and interaction with many different parts of Axis.
Your main tasks will be:
Implement client software in .NET C# Support development of server software in embedded C Design, develop, and maintain the production firmware together with the team. Coordinate the production firmware development between projects Support the PTS team on embedded topics
Who are we looking for?
We believe the right candidate has a Master's degree in computer science or equivalent, and three years of working experience including C# programming. It is an advantage if you have experiences in areas like production systems, embedded systems, Linux environments, Python, and Git. As a good communicator you have good skills in both Swedish and English, written and verbal.
