Software Team Leader - On-Board Diagnostics

The section Powertrain On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) and Dependability, within Complete Powertrain, has the mission to ensure that the development of the next generation engines reflects our brand essence of 'Designed Around You' and that all legal and customer attributes regarding OBD and Powertrain dependability is met. We oversee the complete development work from concept design and requirement setting as well as calibration and verification in the last development phase. All activities aiming to deliver world class OBD and dependability. The department is mainly working with function development/application for embedded powertrain systems and need to strengthen its workforce with an technician within the OBD area.

As a Software Team Leader (SWTL), you will be responsible for informing and making sure that the software developers within our section deliver on time and with good quality to the projects. You are also responsible for planning and following up our internally developed software packages to the different powertrain development programs. The SWTL is representing our section on the Change Board meetings where we make sure changes done by us are reported to software developers outside our section but also catch possible effects on our functions due to changes to the complete software package initiated by other sections. The SWTL is also participating in the software development guild, which is responsible for developing our software development process and working on making it as efficient as possible while at the same time ensuring we deliver with good quality.

Main responsibilities

* Responsible for planning and following up our internally developed software packages to the different powertrain development programs
* Inform and making sure that the software developers within our section deliver on time and with good quality to the projects
* Represent our section on the Change Board meetings and make sure changes done by us are reported to software developers outside our section but also catch possible effects on our functions due to changes to the complete software package initiated by other sections
* Participate in the software development guild

Required qualifications

* B.Sc. with a software or computer science specialisation
* Prior experience of software development, either small or large scale
* Fluent in English written and spoken
* Driver's license, B
* Prior experience as configuration manager or similar is meritorious
* Prior experience with the Jira Issue and project tracking system, or similar tools is meritorious
* Experience of working in a Scrum like development process is meritorious
* Experience in project planning is meritorious
