We are now looking for an image system and algorithm engineer to join us as a colleague.

WHAT DO I DO?
Your team, Core Product Platforms, is responsible for the video and image processing framework and the CPU subsystem software forming a technology platform. This is the foundation for all Axis products. You will play a very important role using your engineering abilities to strengthen our image agenda in future platforms. The position is hands-on in a very skilled and technically strong team that values individual growth, teamwork and great spirit.

Your experience from working with global platform vendors is valuable for this position since you will have direct dialog and interactions with our partners to deliver a high performance image and video system. You will work in projects covering several key areas, e.g. sensors, optics, image processing, imaging related features and algorithms. In this position you will occasionally travel to our global vendors in US and Asia to work on our agenda, evaluate, set requirements and also make sure that we together get the best possible imaging system for our products.

WHAT’S MY RESPONSIBILITIES?

Interact and discuss technology roadmaps, functionality and problems with our global chip platform partners. Be a key player in the development process of latest imaging technology for our product platform. Experimenting and develop new functionality to enhance our technology portfolio as well as looking ahead and be part of the coming platforms and product launches. Investigate and develop image system frameworks including image sensors, image signal processing steps always considering high performance and quality aspects. Interact with and have focus on our product organization in regards of imaging platforms, optics and image sensor choices. See what’s out there by monitoring and conducting studies that qualifies new exciting platforms for the network video market, from an imaging and algorithm processing perspective. Develop and improve imaging features on camera platforms developed by Axis chip partners in close connection to the Axis SW and algorithm framework platform, balancing future product opportunities with HW possibilities and limitations. Defeat bugs, optimize, tune image processing in various Linux environments during HW bring-up, as well as during the platform and product development phase. Push boundaries, learn a lot, aim for joint excellence and have fun!
MY QUALIFICATIONS?
You see yourself as a top talent engineer with a genuine interest in imaging and signal processing.
You are a highly motivated and strong image system engineer with passion for algorithm processing, image evaluation, troubleshooting and software development in C programming language. You always take full responsibility to deliver top quality solutions for Axis with high work pride in our team and together with our platform partners.

Due to the fact that Axis values teamwork very high, you cannot stress enough to contribute with good spirit and welcome the different agile working methodologies used in our projects.

You have a Master's degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, electrical engineering or similar and are a dedicated individual with a strong personal drive.
Interaction with new people comes naturally for you. Your communications skills are on top with fluent English, both written and verbal.
