Senior game developer html5/js

Exciting times! Relax Gaming has just opened up a studio on Lilla torg in Malmö and we are now putting together a talented team to expand the frontiers of online gaming. We?re looking for a Senior Developer to be the technical rock of the team. You must be highly motivated, self-organised and passionate about developing in JavaScript.

Job Summary:

Every great team has team members at all levels including experts; you will be that expert. You will effectively be acting as the technical lead within the team and help deliver the vision and experience of great casino games with high technical quality. You are an experienced and skilled JavaScript developer familiar with the core language and able to pick-up new frameworks swiftly. You are comfortable making technical decisions after analysing the options and pros and cons.

Our studio will have several game projects running simultaneously so expect the freedom to dynamically work with a wide variety of projects and features as well as contributing to several new and old IPs.

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop games from prototype to finished product using HTML5 with JavaScript
- Own and maintain the technical direction of the development team
- Perform as a technical lead in a team of JavaScript developers and testers
- Guide and mentor junior developers
- Ensure deadlines are met with high technical quality

Required skills:

- Four years experience in IT
- Excellent JavaScript knowledge
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience in JavaScript frameworks (react.js, ES6)
- Comfortable using git version control
- Passionate about games, with an understanding of game-play mechanics
- Practical experience working with Agile development practices
- You are a positive, self-motivated team player that gladly speaks your mind
- You thrive in a fast paced environment and embrace having many projects running at the same time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- You are excited about playing a big part in shaping the future of the Malmö studio, culturally as well as for your own personal development

Bonus points for...

- Six years in IT
- Previous Technical Lead or Architect experience
- Demonstrable game building experience
- Interest in gambling
- Experience in HTML5 Game Engines (pixi.js, Phaser or similar)

Location:

The Malmö studio is perfectly located on Lilla torg, right in the middle of the beautiful old parts of the city. Its a five minute walk from the central station and all types of shopping and restaurants can be found right outside our doorstep.
