Software Coordinator- Powertrain

The Powertrain Control system section is responsible for the implementation and design of software and hardware for all driveline variants. The section is part of the Volvo Cars Powertrain, which is a part of the R&D. The group Control Modules transmission and AWD delivers control systems for transmission components which involves ensuring of requirements for software and hardware. We collaborate with internal and external multinational system suppliers.

As Software Coordinator- Powertrain, within the group Control Module, you will work with control systems for transmission and AWD. You will work in close contact with subcontractors, project managers and suppliers and you will get a comprehensive view of the technology and the different car projects. As the role involves coordination and technical administration, you should have a strong ability to communicate and to structure your work. The position will also implicate a broad network and an opportunity for personal development in an international atmosphere.

Main responsibilities

* Responsible for SW version control inclusive calibration data
* Lead meetings for calibration changes with calibration- and project leaders
* Make sure that correct SW is released in time and is available in the factory system
* Release calibration data to the supplier
* Administrate the software release process for car series in the factory
* Create and update change orders towards the factory

Required qualification

* Engineer or equivalent
* Fluent in English, spoken and written
* Drivers licens B
* Experience from working as Software Coodinator is meritorious
* Experience from automotive, especially Volvo Car Corporation development process is meritorious
* Tools/System: DTECS, INCA and KDP is meritorious

* Customer focused with a good sense of humour
* A great communicator with excellent corporation skills
* Very good ability to plan and structure the work
* Open-minded, team player with a Holistic view
* Enterprising and good ability to work independently
