We are looking for a talented and experienced leader and software engineer! You will lead our team of talented and passionate software developers in an ambitious startup on a mission to redefine the world of contract management! Sounds exciting?

About the role

We are looking for an experienced leader and software engineer to lead our team of talented engineers. Someone who shares our passion for great software and our strive for meeting people’s needs. You will be a coding leader, someone who loves getting into the details of the development process, from the small to the big.

As CTO (or Tech Lead) you will be responsible for managing the development team, the people and our systems. You will take ultimate ownership of all our systems, with responsibility to lead development and make sure we can meet customer needs, performant and reliable. You will also be an active part of both product development and a fast-growing startup, where your opinions and passions will have a real impact!

Your days will be filled with:

Creating, developing and maintaining the backend (and front end) components
Leading discussions and debates, both technical and non-technical
Leading work to set future architecture and technology stack
Ensuring the team stays healthy and engaged

Skills & Requirements

We would like you to have a background from, or a strong interest in:

Leading developers, ensuring we’re working towards the same goal
Long term product development
System development
Multiple programming languages (Python, Java, C#, Ruby, Scala, C/C++, Erlang, etc)
Algorithms, patterns and data structures (where and how to use them)
Service-oriented architecture or distributed systems (APIs, micro-services, etc.)
10+ years experience working as a software engineer, in one form or another

It would also be really awesome if you’re excited about:

Cloud APIs (AWS, Rackspace, Azure etc.)
Scalable Architecture (auto-scaling, sharding, queuing etc.)
Security architecture (OWASP, encryption, etc.)
Working close to a product and the customers
Both frontend and backend development

If you’re more interested in a position as a Tech Lead than as a traditional CTO, we’re open for discussions about what you want the role to mean for you.
