SW Function Developer - On-Board Charger

The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering is responsible for development of all major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Cars. Sub-systems as Electric Drives, HV Batteries, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities. The group charging system is responsible for delivering SW functionality for the On-board charger (OBC) system in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market and continuously evolve our development platform. We are working with continuous integration as development praxis and we are striving towards continuous deployment of SW.

As SW Function Developer in our group you will be part of an agile, scrum development team and deliver state of the art functionality. You will utilise a model based development (MBD) process and be part of all phases of the development, from design and implementation to vehicle testing and fine tuning of your functionality.

Main responsibilities

* Model based SW development of on-board charger (OBC) functionality
* Perform development testing in various test environments
* Perform calibration activities in vehicle
* Utilise Autosar structured architecture, workflow & tool chain
* Interact with suppliers about SW design solutions

Required qualifications

* University degree within electronics, mechatronics, SW engineering or equivalent competence
* Knowledge in Simulink and model based SW development
* Relevant job experience relative to development of automotive SW and control systems
* Driver license, B
* Fluent in English, verbally and in writing

Meritorious

* Experience in the automotive industry is meritorious
* Experience of working with system requirement, system solution and system design is meritorious
* AUTOSAR knowledge is meritorious
* Competence within Scrum/Agile development, Test automation, C-programming, SW build environments, Continuous integration framework, JIRA, Jenkins, SVN, INCA, SW testing (unit, MIL, SIL, HIL, Rigs, vehicle) is meritorious
* Electric motor vector control theory (for PMSM) is meritorious

* Structured, data driven and good documentation skills
* Integrity, courage and personal energy
* Cooperative, good communication skills
* Business oriented and flexible
