About the position
As a System Developer at Extenda you will further develop customer applications through development of new functionality, customizing existing functionality, delivering and maintaining the application. The Developers & Architects team is responsible for supporting customers in bridging the needs from customer’s business with IT solutions provided by Extenda and other vendors and making them work together.

You will be working in close collaboration with a Solution Architect to transform requirements into design, interacting with Extendas customers when needed.

The tech
Java should be your primary language and it is a merit if you also have knowledge/experience regarding several of the following tools/techniques:

• Java, JavaFX, JavaScript
• Hibernate
• Inversion of Control (Spring or similar)
• Eclipse
• MySQL and/or SQL Server and/or Oracle DB
• Communication with remoting, Web-Services and JMS
• Transaction intensive systems
• Build scripts with Ant and Maven
We consider it an additional merit if you have experience of working with retail solutions as well as in distributed teams.

Your background
We want you to have a few years of experience working with Java development, a degree in Computer Science or similar as well as personal traits suited for the job. We’re looking for a communicative person who enjoys team work, you should feel responsibility for your solution and have the ability to balance quality against functional requirements while being able to handle priorities and compromises.

Extenda is an international company and can accommodate both Swedish and English speaking candidates, we do consider fluent Swedish a plus
