Senior data scientist

We are now recruiting a senior data scientist to join us here at Moubi Analytics. With us you will get access to the latest technologies and breakthroughs in the domain and you will truly have the chance of joining a fast paced company that will be a leader in data science not only in the nordics but in the world.

We work primarily as consultants within data science both on a strategic level and hands on creating models. In addition we also develop internal products that we resell to customers. Currently we work predominantly with large financial institutions to handle transactional and risk data.

Masters/PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Operation Research, Computer Science and etc.) with at least 3+ years of work experience leveraging sophisticated analytical and machine learning techniques to drive business results. PhDs strongly preferred.
Strong quantitative skills with a solid understanding of probability and statistics
Expertise in an analytical language (Python, R, or the equivalent), and experience with databases (Hive, SQL, or the equivalent). Programming experience in Java/C++ a plus
Prior experience working with very large datasets using Big Data tools and platforms (Hadoop, Spark, or the equivalent)
Experience working in UNIX/Linux and distributed computing environments
Deep understanding of machine learning/statistical algorithms such as boosting, random forest, KNN and neural network/deep learning.
Experience with data visualization a must
Demonstrated ability to frame business problems into mathematical programming problems, leverage external thinking and tools (from academia and/or other industries) to engineer a solvable solution to deliver business insights and optimal control policy.
Creativity to go beyond current tools to construct and deliver the best solution to the problem, ability and comfort with working independently and making key decisions on projects
Strong relationship building, management and influencing skills
