RTE is a division of Atlas Copco’s Mining and Rock Excavation business area. The division develops and manufactures rock drills and components as well as offers services like software development and product design exclusive to the MR business area. Rocktec’s laboratory and research center is located in Örebro, Sweden.

The market is ever-changing with a big demand for autonomous operation. Now is your chance to be part in this exciting time for our Software Development team, as we currently seeking Project Managers to work with the product development of control systems as well as autonomous solutions for our mining and construction equipment.
In your role as project manager you will be managing a team of software developers, who are working according to the Agile Scrum/Kanban methodology. In addition to project management, the role includes system architecture work, requirements specification and programming. Important for the project manager is to develop the team as well as creating good relations with our customers.
We work in a Linux environment with modern development tools. Object-oriented analysis and design is implemented in the development process and the programming language is C++. Any new development of code is performed with a test driven methodology.

We are seeking candidates with a BsC or a MSc in Computer Science. You have extensive experience in software development and project management. Furthermore, experience in unit testing and process work is meritorious.

To succeed in this role you have to be creative, dynamic, effective and like challenges.
You will have a lot of contacts both internal and external – Therefore excellent English skills are required in both writing and speaking.
