Tele2 IoT are now looking for a Test Manager

This is the job....

The purpose of this position is to collaborate with Product Managers, Developers and the Development Manager to drive ‘testability’ of our product portfolio and ensure the quality of releases. This role is a mix of hands-on working in development projects and leading a team of testers.

Creating, managing and executing test strategies, test plans and continuous testing of our product portfolio (primarily based in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment).

Key responsibilities:

- Execute manual and automated tests, and identify actionable bugs quickly.
- Manage QA coverage of multiple projects
- Planning/organizing necessary test passes, staying on top of all important issues, help triaging bugs and driving issues to resolutions and keeping everyone aware of QA status
- Work with different teams to collect necessary information to assure the QA coverage and provide feedback on quality issues
- Work with onsite and offshore team to set their priorities and remove their roadblocks to make sure sufficient coverage is done for the release
- Assess the status of the release, and help make sure that the release goes out on time with high quality level
- Create and support test dashboard/report
- Analyze and define existing business processes and interdependencies
- Analyze functional specifications for completeness & testability
- Analyze test output, identify discrepancies and clearly document defects
- Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
- Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations
- Develops relationships with business personnel that foster business-IT ties
- Ensure requirements are testable
- Recognize, document issues and develop options for issue resolution.
- Ability to explain testing methodology, processes, tools, templates, environment & concepts to team members
- Understand and can explain basic design components and methodology
- Documentation and Technical writing skills
- Monitor applications and software systems
- Stress testing, performance & scalability testing
- Script repeatable tests
- Synthesize and create test data sets and manage AWS test environments

This is what you have...

- Current, hands-on experience with stress testing of AWS and Java based applications
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) & QA methodologies using automated scripting tools
- Background and experience of continuous testing and releases in an Agile environment
- Write clear and understandable bug and incident reports
- Experience with analyzing, recommending and documenting modifications enhancements, test results, problems and problem resolutions
- Good knowledge of desktop & cloud based productivity suites
- Write test strategies that document testing approach to include: number/type of test cycles required, existing test scripts to use/update, new test scripts to write, environment requirements, training needs and backend system testing
- White-box testing; Black-box testing
- Perform scheduled, ad hoc functional testing & regression testing.
- Interacting with relational databases and scripts to create and validate test data results
- Skills in designing and executing technical validation scripts to validate data flows across systems
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
