Linux Application Engineer

Klarna is growing at a rapid pace and so must our IT-Operation. IT-Operations consist of multiple teams, which includes Applications and LiveOps. The teams provide operational support for external products but also service Klarna with monitoring and incident management for Klarnas most business critical services. On top of that they help the development teams setting up monitoring, logs, metrics and alarms, this by working embedded.

Together with the team you will:

Perform installations, configuration and upgrades.
Monitor Klarnas most business critical services.
Continuously improve monitoring.
Perform operational administration.
Perform incident management.
Send out status-information and update external status-pages.
Collect root-cause analysis for incidents.
Act as a third line support for the support teams at Operations
Escalate cases/incidents to the development teams.
Help the development teams implementing monitoring and using guidelines for how to do logging, alarms and metrics.
To be successful in this role you need to be a highly technical and outgoing problem solver. You have a good portion of courage and like to take ownership and drive change. We also see that you have a background in the technical field because you will need to support the team in some technical decisions.

We are looking for people who:

Have a B.Sc/M.Sc in Computer Science.
Excellent knowledge in Linux.
Experience in scripting/Perl/Bash.
Experience of monitoring tools.
English (fluently) and preferably Swedish as well.
