Front End Developer
At Research & Development you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. The Technology and Implementation is responsible for the overall strategy, planning, technology development and program management for R&D.The department Vehicle Functions facilitates the integration of new functions into existing and future product architectures. The department has expertise and deliverables within the fields of systems engineering, vehicle control, simulation and project coordination. The aim is to prepare for efficient and quality assured industrialisation of new customer functions and product capabilities. The department is at the forefront when it comes to developing and introducing state-of-the-art methods and tools related to function development.
As Front End Developer you will be responsible for the user interface, visualisation capabilities and front end logic of a complete vehicle simulator. You will be working in a small development team with mixed engineering backgrounds. The main deliverables in this role will be related to 2D graphics, but 3D is also within scope. You will be in close collaboration with several parts of the company, ranging from experts in user experience to function developers and test engineers.

Required qualifications
* MSc or BSc within IT, Computer Science or similar
* Proficient in object oriented programming
* Experience from front end development in Qt or for the web (JavaScript, CSS and QML)
* Proficient in C++
* Professional experience from application/game development
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Experience from Unity and Rational Rhapsody is advantageous
* Swedish language skills
