Marketing Designer (Uppsala, Sweden)

As Marketing Designer at Biotage you will join the Marketing Design Team, our in-house bureau providing graphic support for marketing and sales personnel around the world. You are primarily responsible for delivering creative art direction, visual communication, original artwork, hands-on graphic designs, videos and animations to the organization, on-demand as well as pro-actively.
You will also contribute to strengthening our online presence from a brand and marketing perspective. This involves maintenance and development of the corporate website and other online channels, search engine optimization, and feeding leads to the sales organization.

The Marketing Designer reports to the Global Marketing Design Manager and is based at Biotage Headquarters in Uppsala, Sweden.
Some travel may be required (typically <5%).
Job scope outline
Graphic design
• Provide creative art direction for the organization
• Design and produce marketing material including product catalogs, brochures, newsletters, customer cases, advertisements, application notes, online content and trade show booth artwork
• Provide design updates and development suggestions for the functionality and user experience of the corporate website and satellites
• Provide designs for product user interfaces, and overall product designs where applicable
• Produce original photographs, illustrations, videos and animations
Marketing
• Manage day-to-day changes, updates and improvements of the website marketing content
• Manage selected social media channels
• Support online marketing platforms for other staff
• Drive the corporate brand both internally and externally
• Drive the improvement of marketing materials for maximum impact in all channels

Qualifications
Education and Experience
• Proven experience from professional design work, preferably business in-house
• Degree in graphic design, visual communication, or equivalent
Required Qualifications
• Highly skilled in visual communication and message focusing
• Highly skilled with creative software for layout, illustration and image editing
• Comfortable using Adobe software, primarily InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English
• Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a global work environment
• Ability to collaborate on team and respond to internal and external customers
• Strong creative drive with ability to respect the boundaries of corporate brand standards
