Volvo Group Telematics (VGT) provides telematics services to the Volvo Group, and to external customers in the Automotive Car OEM segment through the WirelessCar brand. We enable & accelerate customer-oriented off-board telematics service development & delivery. Our solutions exist in Volvo Group products and in other products in the automotive industry in Europe, Asia, US and South America.

Platform Delivery & Operations
The Platform Delivery & Operations (PDO) function within VGT is accountable for the development, delivery and operation of the complete off-board telematics platform(s) including shared framework and common solutions/services one-time and run-time.

We are located in the vibrant Lindholmen Science Park with lots of other successful companies as neighbors, and also to Chalmers University. We strive to develop individuals and to explore new areas.

We are now looking for a Test Lead

What you get
You will join a dynamic, innovative organization, with ever changing customer needs, requirements and tasks. You will be part of one domain team but have a Test Lead responsibility spanning over several domain teams with a total of 6 testers. Each domain team has an end-to-end responsibility (requirements, development, test, deploy and maintenance) for frontend and backend components. The team uses agile methods to develop software based on micro services architecture. Our systems are built using Java, Spring, and AWS. System integration is done via JMS, AMQ. Databases running on Oracle and Postgress.

Role

The mission of the Test Lead is to plan and lead test activities within the service area. In your role you will drive the test strategy & and test improvements within the service area in alignment with the overall VGT test strategy.

The Test Lead will work closely with customers to plan and execute different test activities to meet quality assurance goals. The rest of the time, about 50% consists of day-to-day test activities.

Who you are
As a Test lead you need to be self-motivated, structured and have the ability to work under demanding and changing conditions. You have a positive mindset and a genuine interest in quality assurance challenges. You enjoy taking responsibility, teamwork and to contribute with team spirit and a can-do attitude.

For this position you should have a wide experience within the test area, test automation, customer acceptance test, integration tests, exploratory testing etc. We also want you to

•have experience in a leading role (Team Lead/Test Lead) is an advantage
•have experience in Junit/TestNG - Selenium – Cucumber – Restito - Fitnesse or similar mock frameworks.
It’s a plus if you have experience in developing software using Java, experience in performance tools and in agile development methods
