Volvo Group Telematics (VGT) provides telematics services to the Volvo Group, and to external customers in the Automotive Car OEM segment through the WirelessCar brand. We enable & accelerate customer-oriented off-board telematics service development & delivery. Our solutions exist in in the automotive industry in Europe, Asia, US and South America.
Platform Delivery & Operations
The Platform Delivery & Operations (PDO) function within VGT is accountable for the development, delivery and operation of the complete off-board telematics platform(s) including shared framework and common solutions/services one-time and run-time.
We are located in the vibrant Lindholmen Science Park with lots of other successful companies as neighbors, and also to Chalmers University. We strive to develop individuals and to explore new areas.
We are now looking for an Infrastructure Architect.

You will join a dynamic, innovative organization, with ever changing customer needs, requirements and tasks. Managing connectivity and data for vehicle solutions is a fast evolving and exciting area. You will be part of an empowered, skilled and highly motivated domain team within the PDO area. The domain team has an end-to-end responsibility (requirements, development, test, deploy and operations) for frontend and backend components. The team uses agile methods to develop software based on micro services architecture. Our systems are built using Java, Spring, and AWS as the platform. System integration is done via JMS, AMQ. Databases running on Oracle and Postgres.
The Infrastructure Architect:
•Is the main technical lead within PDO domain and the attached services and components.
•Is accountable for the architectural quality of components and services in the domain in alignment with VGT guidelines and strategies.
•Is part of the daily development and pro-actively secure the long and short term technical integrity of the component/services.
•Is expected to be a major contributor in the platform architectural work and secure platform alignment with VGT target architecture.
•Will provide stakeholder insight into technical consequences on business decisions.
•IS A Key contributor in creating and maintaining a roadmap for the domain in alignment with the overall PDO Area Services Roadmap.
•As an Infrastructure Architect you will spend some time to evaluate new IaaS and PaaS services to improve our efficiency in our deliveries.
