Your Key Responsibilities Would Include:

You will work in a cross-functional, agile team in close collaboration with the rest of the R&D organization. The team takes full responsibility that a new feature is delivered on time with the right quality. Our work includes everything from product concept to finished product - a process that spans over the entire development chain.

As a test engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Infinera's products before the new features and additions are released to end users. This mean that you will work with most of the company's portfolio which leads to a quick and good overall system understanding.

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Infinera you will:

•Perform tests on system level including network management systems
•Define test cases
•Write scripts for automated testing (e.g. in TCL, Python)
•Further develop our automated test environment
•Debug along with hardware and software engineers
•Review requirements, industry standards and manuals
•Verify compliance to telecom standards (ITU, MEF, IETF, IEEE, TNF)
•Verify the graphical user interface
•Work with protocols such as Ethernet, OTN
•Based on background, interest and needs other work tasks can come into consideration as develop new software

•Master’s degree or equivalent education
•Experience from and a will to work with automated testing
•Flexible, innovative and driven
•A will to develop and introduce new testing methods
•Experience of networking protocol preferably L2 protocols, MEF-services, SDN and also networking knowledge in general
•Experience (5-10 years) within testing
•Structured and thorough
•Agile way of working
•Driven and willing to take own initiatives
•Good knowledge in English, written and spoken
•Experience from working with network operations and/or installation is an advantage
