Sterling OMS – Senior Application Developer

As an IBM CIC Order Management Sr Application Developer, you will design and develop eCommerce applications with our development teams. The Order Management Sr Application Developer is overall responsible for:
- Extensive technical knowledge with a broad exposure to tools, techniques and industry standards to apply in the creation of estimates, designs and architectures
- Sterling Commerce/IBM Order Management Suite implementation expertise including system architecture design, application functionality and design, development, testing, and deployment
- Developing order management and fulfilment applications utilising IBM Sterling Order Management Solutions
- Achieving the performance, availability and scalability of the applications
- Maintaining the functional interface to the application infrastructure
- Implementing core functionality for Order, Item, Price, Payment, Inventory, Fulfilment and Integration capabilities
- Utilising Out-Of-Band capabilities for distributed supply chains, approval flows and other Order Management Solutions capabilities including reporting
- Utilising consulting skills, business knowledge, and order management and fulfilment solution expertise to effectively integrate Order Management applications into the client's business environment in order to achieve client expected business results.

Required skills
- Experience in developing detailed design and constructing, testing and deploying Order Management solutions that meet customer order management and fulfilment requirements
- Experience in utilising software for example IBM Sterling Order Management Solutions, Manhattan OMS, SAP Enterprise Resource Planning, Oracle Enterprise Resource Plann, JDA Software ERP or offerings from other vendors
- Experience in participating in design/build activities for system development and deployment for low to medium complexity systems/solutions
- Experience in integrating Order Management solutions utilising with other eCommerce products and solutions utilising for example IBM WebSphere Commerce, IBM Sterling WMS, IBM middle ware, IBM Integration Bus
- Ability to lead a team and should have played leadership roles mentoring other members of technical/development staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to partner with stakeholders inside and outside of IS as well as vendors and other external entities.
- Deep Java/J2EE programming/environment
- Deep application server and database knowledge

Nice to have skills:
- XML and web technologies including AJAX, Web Services, and JSON.
- Experience with Oracle 11 or 12
- Experience with JMS messaging services
- Hands on experience with Sterling Commerce OMS pipelines, APIs
- Hands on experience building web services in Sterling Commerce and exposing them to clients.
- Additional experience with Sterling WebCallCenter, Sterling WebStore and Sterling RCP would be preferable
- Experience in iterative and parallel development model
- Experience with Sterling OMS, Configuration and WebSphere Commerce architecture
- B2B or B2C store development experience
- Integration experience to fulfilment vendors, payment processing, e-mail service providers, and other ecommerce integrations
