QA Test Specialist

Nasdaq Technology is now looking for a QA Test Specialist to join at the Stockholm office. You will sit in the renovated former Ford assembly plant in Frihamnen, in our spacious and open plan factory-style campus, which houses 700 of Nasdaq’s IT talent across many departments including engineering, architecture, development and testers.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to join the world’s leading exchange company as a QA Test Specialist in the X-Stream CSD Team at NASDAQ. You will be part of a team responsible for delivering a highly sophisticated Central Securities Depository (CSD) system to major CSDs around the world. It is an advanced system with very high demands on quality and performance and it is built with leading edge Java technology and tools.

You will work in a cross-functional scrum team consisting of Business Analysts, Software Developers and Testers developing new functions and test cases in a Nasdaq test tool suite; including support for test automation, performance test and manual test.

This position is an exciting opportunity to develop your personal, technical, and leadership skills while gaining an extensive knowledge of the exchange industry in general and the CSD domain in particular.

Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications:

- University degree in computer science, information technology, software development or similar
- At least 3 years of work experience in test automation
- At least 3 years of work experience in enterprise Java application development

Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
- Talented in Java, object oriented design and patterns with special focus on:
- Spring, API generation frameworks, GUI development
- Message oriented middleware (e.g. JMS)
- Webservice API design (SOAP, REST)
- Work experience of JBoss/WildFly or similar application server
- Work experience of Linux and databases
- Effective communicator as the role will require ability to liaise with development / business teams and with clients
- Excellent language skills in written and spoken English

Additional desired qualifications:

- Experience from working with financial systems especially clearing/settlement systems
