Who are we?
We are the Vehicle Function Development Group in the Global Technology Area of Vehicle Electronics. We are working with the design and development of truck functions. We are a bunch of highly motivated and skilled engineers that love our work and use our creativity and current tools to design and develop Vehicle functionalities that are key for all ranges of trucks in the Volvo Group.

On a typical day
As a function developer on a typical day, you are
•Involved in the function roadmap discussions
•Modeling the truck functionality to describe the behavior
•Specifying the behavior of the function for the electrical system to work for best performance.
•At the truck, troubleshooting and experiencing the features
•Interacting with your colleagues around the world.

Who are you?
We believe that you are someone with genuine interest in design and development of electrical and electronic functions. You are someone that is willing to work “hands –on” in applying the knowledge and experimenting

You have

•A strength in Logical design and have worked with modeling and simulation of functions.
•Worked with control systems design and signal processing
•A good understanding of software development and the related environment.
•The ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts and draw conclusions
•System design & risk management perspective
•An eye for detail
•Creativity and the mindset to constantly learn and improve.
•Positive outlook and a collaborative mindset.
•Customer focus
You might also have worked with Agile teams and are familiar with tool chains like Jenkins, ClearCase, GIT, ClearQuest, JIRA. You might have done some scripting in Python and/or Java compatible language.

Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics-, software-, computer engineering (or similar)
•Truck knowledge is merit
•Fluent in written and spoken English
