Altran in Malmö are looking for a skilled and experienced software engineer. We need a person who has good hardware knowledge and interest is appreciated. The work will include development and maintenance of flashloaders, bootloaders and other security critical components for embedded devices. Development tasks range from implementing hardware drivers to developing Java-based Android applications. The main development environment is based on Ubuntu Linux.

In this assignment you will work with products in all segments and on several different chipsets. Our work typically starts early in the projects on the very first prototypes.

You have an M.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent and a few years of work experience and knowledge about C programming for embedded systems. You also need to have good knowledge and experience from working within low-level software.
 

Desired competence for the role as Senior Embedded Software Developer at Altran:      

* Experience with ARM-based systems (ARMv7/ARMv8)

* Experience with common smartphone chipsets, e.g. Qualcomm Snapdragon and MediaTek platforms

* Good understanding of cryptosystems, and related technology, for encryption and authentication (RSA, AES, SHA256, MACs, X.509 etc.)

* Experience from working with hardware debug probes like Lauterbach Trace32

* Linux software application development

* Linux kernel development

* Git version control

As a person we believe you have a structured way of working and a quality mindset. It is vital to be able to build good relations and collaborate with the colleagues in the team. In addition to this, you have the ability to independently plan, manage and monitor your work towards the goals. You have good communication skills both in Swedish and English, written and verbal.
