H Group comprises of six independent brands: H, COS, Cheap Monday, Monki, Weekday and & Other Stories. They have over 4,000 stores across more than 62 markets worldwide.

H:s Global Analytics and Development Team is situated in the central of Stockholm at Mäster Samuelsgatan 46A.

In the role as a Data Scientist you belong to a central team collaborating closely with the global management team for H and the global functions. In a project format you use advanced analytics to build data models and algorithms towards large data sets, that can test different hypothesis, support new processes and in the end drive customer value and profit for the company. You work in a lab environment with a smaller central team where collaboration, shared purpose and creativity are key. Based on business needs you 1) select the relevant method (ex. data mining, regression modeling, clustering analysis, and other statistical modelling techniques etc.) and software/tool (Python, R, etc.) 2) build the model that can generate the needed insight (sometimes by yourself, sometimes with a group of data scientists) 3) support the business in understanding the models and algorithms created and present results and summaries to senior management 4) advise and lead the decision process on the tools/systems/processes needed to implement the data model/algorithm in the daily business. You must be strong in math and statistics, but also deeply understand the business, the culture, the brand and the product of H

We are looking for you who has a few years of experience as professional data scientist and have a BS/MS in computer science, math, statistics or other quantitative field. Ability to generate new, unique ways of analyzing product, sales and location data from thousands of stores and from online sales. Experienced with analyzing data in either R or Python (ideally both), and running multivariate regression analysis, clustering, segmentation, and data mining on large data sets. Knowledgeable in Python, R (or Matlab) and SQL. Advanced in being able to analyze/attack large (and sometimes unstructured) data sets, knowledgeable of big data platforms (i.e. Hadoop) and what it takes to scale analysis to large real-time data sets (e.g. using Spark/Storm).

We like to see that you have sharp analytical skills and a “can do” attitude dealing with fast changes and a high pace. You strive to have the right balance between speed and theory and also have high ambition - always beating expectations. A true team player with strong communication skills.

As a person, you are ambitious, competitive, humble, and a fast learner. You are constantly looking for possibilities to do things different and smarter. You value own responsibility, entrepreneurship, fast pace, teamwork and straightforward communication. You enjoy working in a dynamic role with a diverse team.
