QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer at Accedo you will play an important role in guaranteeing quality for the Accedo professional services engagements.

You will work with the development teams to identify problems early in the process and handle a variety of applications including web applications, back- end web services, smart TV apps, and mobile apps, as well as profession with appropriate visibility into the process is being used by those products/projects.

This role requires a good understanding of QA methodology. As test automation engineer, you should be able to help out designing, building, testing, and deploying effective test automation solutions. It requires some development skill such as Python, shell scripting and java scripting.

Furthermore, as an integrated part of the development organization, knowledge in SCRUM/Kanban and/or other modern development methodologies is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities and duties:

Conduct testing systematically against various aspects of applications. Capture descriptive procedures in order to reproduce reported defects. Report and keep track of defects in the defect tracking system. Keep up with various statuses of identified defects throughout the defect life cycle
Work closely with various members in project teams to obtain a thorough understanding in application features as well as device capabilities and constrains
Conduct regular quality assurance routines to ensure application quality is maintained throughout projects
Take a significant role in application release management
Provide appropriate planning and execution in regression testing, performance testing, integration testing, and other non-functional testing to ensure successful application deployment
Opportunity to work on test automation with different levels, for mobile, smart TV as well as server side
Occasional travel may be required

Requirements
Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering or related discipline. Preference will be given to Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree holders
Self-motivated, passionate, responsible and a good team player
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills
Excellent communicator, detail oriented and quality focused
Excellent English reading, writing, and speaking skills
Candidates with more quality assurance/testing experience may be considered for more senior positions
