Summer Intern- Developer

Requirements:
* Good skills in either C++, Python or Java
* Ability to work independently and take initiative, be creative and curious
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Ideals:
* Enrolled in or completed M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
* Skills in web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SVG and DOM
* Experience in automated testing
* Experience with Linux and Android

In our Swedish offices, in Göteborg and Linköping, we are working on the next versions of our browsers for mobile platforms. To do this, we are digging deep into the inner workings of Blink and Chromium. We are also contributing to and implementing new web standards and tweaking and optimizing a massive code base to behave well on limited Android devices. We are creating beautiful user interfaces on Android, while constantly striving to innovate and improve the browsing experience even further. Opera Mini and Opera for Android, with their over 250 million users, were born and created in Sweden.

For the summer of 2017, we are looking for developers to join us for 2-3 months.
Tasks may vary from writing automated tests, modifying and extending testing frameworks, building and extending development tools, implementing domain-specific browser features and optimizing footprint, startup-time and memory consumption. You will also get the chance to work on features, bugfixes and contribute to the public product.
You will spend the summer working with some of the best engineers in the industry and directly contributing to products that reach hundreds of millions of users around the world!
