Summer Intern- Designer

Requirements:
* Good skills in visual design
* Ability to work both independently and in a team
* Be able to take initiative and be creative and curious
* Communicate and collaborate with other cross-functional teammates
* Be fluent in English, both written and spoken
* Portfolio required for candidates

Ideals:
* Be enrolled in or have completed a visual communications-relevant program
* Skills in Adobe creative suite or Sketch
* Experience in mobile application design
* Experience with Android design guideline
* Preferably familiar with User-Centered Design methodologies

In our Swedish offices, in Göteborg and Linköping, we are working on the next versions of our browsers for mobile platforms. We are creating beautiful user interfaces on Android while constantly striving to innovate and improve the browsing experience even further. Opera Mini and Opera for Android, which have over 250 million users, were born and created in Sweden.

For the summer of 2017, we are looking for a designer to join us for 2-3 months and work for Opera for Android in Göteborg.

You will spend the summer working with some of the best designers in the industry and directly contributing to products that reach hundreds of millions of users around the world!

Tasks may vary from participating in workshops, tweaking pixels, moving pixels, carrying pixels and even erasing pixels. You will also get to design graphical elements and support the design team with various tasks to enhance the overall visual experience. Most likely, you will do this using any of your favourite tools and tricks like Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, etc. Of course, we also have some ideas on how we can help you to master some of them, if you like.
