Consulting Engineer

Joining our fast growing, highly motivated international team as a Consulting Engineer, you will design, install, and integrate Procera's products in networks and datacenters owned by the largest service providers across the globe. You will work closely with Procera's Solution Engineers, Account Managers, Professional Services Engineers and Project managers and together with customer representatives you will develop standards, templates and best practices and to continuously improve our efficiency and quality of delivering our products and services.

You will plan and execute upgrades and augmentations to the existing deployment. In addition to the technical requirements listed below, the best candidates will have a flexible, can-do attitude, strong organization and communication skills and the ability to work with little supervision either independently or as part of a successful team.
Successful candidates will also be able to recognize and reinforce the importance of details like detailed and descriptive documentation, implementation plans and network designs that accompany the delivery of the solution.

Responsibilities
Accountable for technical activities at major strategic accounts.
Assist the customer in the designing, installing, integrating, testing and troubleshooting Procera?s products. This includes
Working closely with other engineers and project managers to provide on-site and remote oversight of the installation and integration of Procera's solution into the customer environment.
Performing complex installations and integrations of systems at customer sites.
Planning and implementing Software/Firmware and Hardware upgrades
Deploy solutions, which can scale to span multi-datacenter in high availability configurations.
Engage in design discussions with the rest of the team to solve technical challenges.
Performing Consultancy engagements. Including architecture reviews, architecture design, operational guidelines and health checks.
Have a strong ethic of documentation and tests as being part of solution deliverables.
Attention to detail, and an appreciation for system reliability and operational efficiency.
Assist, as required, in developing and maintaining customer collateral including:
Reference design material.
High and low level design documentation.
Rack elevations, site layouts, and cable/port maps from higher-level network designs.
Oversee maintenance of network documentation.
Writing and executing acceptance and upgrade test plans.
Maintaining and using the Professional Services lab environment to further strengthen the technical abilities and best practices.
Participate in training events to increase knowledge and stay updated with Procera's product lines.
Being flexible in work hours and being able to work effectively on-site at customer?s location

Required qualifications:
At least 5 years experience in relevant software or Internet service industry with a service operational background supporting high availability 24x7x365 service provider environments.
Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals
IPv4, IPv6, Ethernet networks, Physical and logical network design, Optics, implementation and operation
Deep understanding of the GNU/Linux operating system.
Proven track record of owning customer relationships at major accounts with face-to-face customer engagement skills.
Experience installing, integrating, testing and troubleshooting complex solutions in IP network environments.
