Java J2EE consultant

This is an application support senior programmer analyst role in a fast paced technology delivery organization supporting compliance and regulatory initiatives. This position will support large scale AML investigations application suite by closely working with solutions development teams, program managers, project managers, architects and other stakeholders. Responsibility will include contributing to technical architecture and design, development, system integration testing and production deployment activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Provide support for AML investigations application suite. Key responsibilities include the following :
- Develop software code as per the solution architecture and design
- Provide level 3 support to troubleshoot and resolve application related issues and manage change requests. Manage change requests.
- Support System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing
- Coordinate production fixes
- Application performance testing, benchmarking and tuning
- Lead Continuity of Business testing and DR activities as needed
- Review application and database logs/ reports and proactively address any issues that may impact application stability
- Problem ticket resolution and change management

Qualifications :
- 2 + experience in application development and support using J2EE, database technologies
- Must have experience with AML monitoring standards, processes and technologies in a large financial services organization
- Must have thorough knowledge of end-to-end SDLC process
- Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and very strong in troubleshooting and SQL query optimization techniques
- Experience with SQL, ETL and Data warehousing tools
- Good team player interested in sharing knowledge and cross-training other team members and shows interest in learning new technologies and products
- Experience with Linux, UNIX and MS Windows application deployment platforms
- Strong communications skills
