Front End Engineer

Meltwater builds digital intelligence and marketing solutions for a global client base. Our teams in Stockholm, Sweden deliver value to our customers building a variety of solutions in the Meltwater Platform. Our technology portfolio includes applications based on the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, and Node.js) in the frontend, connecting to services using ElasticSearch and RabbitMQ in the backend.

THE JOB
We are looking for an experienced front end software engineer to join our team that is building an extendable library of common data services and UI components, with highly discoverable interactive documentation and a community for collaboration and innovation.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
What we are looking for ? Knowledge of web development technologies including JavaScript and CSS; Angular and Node.js is a plus ? Deep knowledge of Java and Ruby ? Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL and MongoDB ? Experience with ElasticSearch ? A degree in mathematics or computer science or a comparable qualification ? Knowledge of Unix shell scripting and CI/CD tools ? Experience with building and running large-scale applications ? 3+ years of professional development experience preferred ? Experience with building and running large-scale applications ? Experience with a PaaS/SaaS cloud, preferably AWS ? Experience with RabbitMQ ? Comfortable with git ? Automation as a mindset. ? Enthusiasm for Microservices architecture and distributed systems ? Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and a demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to technical problems ? Having a user-based focus on infrastructure development and applying it to well written documentation to improve understanding of the solutions you create. ? Experience working in an agile development environment
