Front End developer, Scania IT

We are working with Scania PDM system and are now building a new front end interface. This role is within department Product Development IT, responsible for delivering IT to Scania’s product development process.

Job description and main tasks
In this role you need to have a deep knowledge regarding web development including different frameworks, e.g. HTML5, JavaScript, Angular etc. You are also familiar with user interface development. We work with agile methods to develop our own PDM applications.

You will:

Transform requirements in to IT solutions on your own and together with the colleagues in the front end team. We also work closely together with other teams that are developing the same solution
Manage components and unit testing
Develop User Interface in accordance with GUI design guidelines and other principles

Competence profile
You will either have several years’ experience working with web development, or be a recent graduate with a significant interest in IT and with a clear focus to become an expert in a near future. In addition to Swedish, you need to be proficient in written and spoken English.

We expect applicants to be curious, have excellent problem-solving skills and to have a genuine interest in Front End development. As a person you have a proactive approach and you enjoy taking on new challenges and working with a focus on quality and targets. To be successful in this role you will also need to have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with several parties within the business. You are a team player, but are also capable of working independently.
