We are looking for an experienced software developer to join a team in the Product Information group. The team delivers a number of applications, most aimed at supporting Scania Vehicle Service Information. One important delivery is the application for handling Scania Product Individual, a software that is central to the daily business operation of Scania workshops around the world. Product Development IT is accountable for delivering IT solutions to Scania's R&D department. Our responsibility cover the full range of architecture, development, maintenance, support and planning of purchased, leased and proprietary systems. We code in .Net and use SCRUM as our agile framework. We are approximately 1400 employees at Scania IT, whereof 200 employees at Product Development IT.

Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from being a traditional truck manufacturer into becoming a provider of complete transportation solutions. Our success depends on smart IT solutions and high connectivity where Scania IT is the central enabler.

Your work assignments
You will be the senior developer in an agile team, guiding the other developers and sharing your knowledge, working towards a self sufficient team. You will be expected to take a big responsibility in the overall delivery, with a possibility to develop towards the role of software architect.
 
Challenges that lies ahead is to further develop the teams working methods and software towards continous delivery as well as transition to the AWS cloud.The team develops web services and backend, both as new development and as a part of active maintenance phase with a high flow of CR:s.
 
As the applications are crucial for the daily business of several parts of Scania, frequent contact with and an understanding for the business processes is also a part of the work.

Your profile
We believe that you have a university degree within IT/Computer Science or similar, complemented with more than 5 years experience from software developent and the following competencies:

Strong interest and experience in agile practices including SCRUM
Experience and knowledge of .Net, C# and AngularJS, web services (SOAP and REST) and preferably other programming languages (such as Java)
Knowledge of- or interest in software architecture
Engagement and ability to lead yourself and others with a doer mentality
Commitment and drive to deliver, simplify and improve
Ability to express yourself in excellent Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
Interest or experience working with cloud (AWS)
Previous Scania experience is an advantage
