About Group IT

Group IT is located in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. We are 1400 employees responsible for running the bank, developing and maintening business strategic and central systems in Swedbank.

All development is managed in projects and we deliver approximately 600 projects and pre-studies during a business year.

Assignment specification

Infrastructure and Operations key role is to deliver IT infrastructure and operational services in a flexible, cost-effective, and high-quality manner to enable the bank to work with their clients. Automation Center Department is responsible for development of the tools and systems for event detection and management, monitoring, configuration management, service management, tools to manage IT processes, tools for automation and orchestration.

You will work with :

Designing and implementation of new and changing the existing monitoring solutions based on internal standards and best practices, upon request or participation in development projects. Work with systems owners to design monitoring configurations that provide full visibility into health of production systems. Contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring systems and infrastructure consisting of third-party and in-house tools to provide collection, storage and visualization of availability and performance metrics.
To apply for this position, we believe you have following skills and qualifications :

You should have good knowledge of event monitoring tools and its processes. Experience in some of the major programming / scripting languages such as Powershell, JavaScript, Perl, Python or Unix Shell Scripting is required. Good knowledge in basic server administration (navigating the operating system, handling of files and processes and checking resource utilisation etc.) for both Windows, Solaris and Linux servers, as well as knowledge of Oracle- and MS/SQL databases. SNMP trap development experience as well as a good understanding of network design and technologies is considered an advantage. Ability to convert process and technical capabilities into documentation. It is essential that you are fluent in English language, verbally and in writing.
To succeed in this role we think you have good problem solving techniques, an analytic mind-set and an ability to apply standards and best practices to create flexible event detection and management solutions. At the same time, you need to be service- minded and communicative.
